The Not-So-Small Print

This stuff is important, so we're not going to hide it away in tiny font!  Read the below and double-check you're happy - we'll ask you to confirm you're happy with the Terms and Conditions when you book.

Ground Rules

Participants understand their film must be made with full accordance of government regulations. No shots can be used outside of their house or apartment. Filming in their backyard or front yard is permitted, but not in a shared or communal space. No resource can be used that is outside of their team - i.e no ‘buying in’ expertise. Using flatmates or family members is fine.

All footage used in the finished films must be shot between the online launch workshop (8th May, 11am GMT) and submission deadline (10th May, 6pm GMT). No stock footage can be used.

Films that contain any questionable material will not be shown at the Online Film Festival. Participants understand that if they have any doubts about the content of their production they will ask the Reel team.

A full outline of the rules and parameters of the challenge will be provided at the online launch workshop on the 8th of May.

Release and Waiver of Liability

Participants waive, assume any risk, and take full responsibility and waive any claims of personal injury, death or damage/loss of personal property associated with The Four Walls Film Challenge.

Participants must read these  terms and conditions and fully understand its terms. They understand that they are giving up legal rights.

These terms and conditions shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under the applicable law.

Content Agreement

Participants understand that The Reel Challenge reserves the right to reproduce stills and clips from all films submitted to the Four Walls Film Challenge (up to 2 minutes) for all purposes deemed appropriate by the Reel Film Challenge.

This includes, but is not limited to related publications, trailers, press and TV coverage, private screenings and online distribution. Participants will always be credited accordingly where more than 20 seconds of their film is used.

The Reel Challenge will always endeavour to act in a way that benefits the film-making community. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, participants confirm that they have understood the above and agree with the content agreement.

See something you don't understand?  Just get in touch.  It looks scarier than it is!
